Air Fryer Lemon Pepper Chicken Easy Recipe

Need a fast, flavorful dinner idea? These Air Fryer Lemon Pepper Chicken Foil Packs are one of my go-to meals when I want something quick, light, and satisfying. It’s an easy weeknight recipe with minimal cleanup and tons of fresh flavor.

The combination of juicy diced chicken, crisp asparagus, and bright lemon pepper seasoning makes this a winner—and you can customize it with your favorite veggies! Just prep, pack, and let your air fryer do the rest.

Serves 2

Ingredients:

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, diced

  • 1 cup chopped asparagus (or veggie of your choice)

  • Coconut oil spray (or any nonstick spray)

  • 1–2 tsp Lemon Pepper seasoning (adjust to taste)

  • 1 lemon, thinly sliced

  • Aluminum foil

 Instructions:

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F.

  2. Tear off two sheets of aluminum foil, one for each serving. Lightly spray each with coconut oil to prevent sticking.

  3. Divide diced chicken evenly between the two foil packs.

  4. Add chopped asparagus (or your favorite veggie) to each pack.

  5. Sprinkle Lemon Pepper seasoning generously over the chicken and veggies.

  6. Top each pack with a few thin lemon slices.

  7. Seal the foil packs tightly and place them in your air fryer basket.

  8. Cook for 18–20 minutes, or until the chicken is fully cooked and tender.

Tips & Swaps:

  • Try bell peppers, zucchini, or broccoli instead of asparagus.

  • Swap chicken for shrimp or salmon for a seafood version.

  • Add garlic powder, onion powder, or chili flakes for extra flavor.

This easy dinner is perfect when you need something quick, healthy, and delicious. It’s just the kind of recipe you’ll want to keep in rotation—no fuss, all flavor!

FAQs:

Q: Can I use frozen chicken for this recipe?
A: Yes! Just be sure to fully thaw your chicken first so it cooks evenly in the foil pack.

Q: How long should I cook the foil packs in the air fryer?
A: Cook at 375°F for 18–20 minutes. Check that the internal temperature of the chicken reaches 165°F.

Q: Can I make this ahead of time?
A: Absolutely! Prep the foil packs in the morning and refrigerate until you're ready to cook. Just add 1–2 minutes to the cook time if they’re cold from the fridge.

Q: What vegetables can I substitute for asparagus?
A: Try zucchini, bell peppers, broccoli, green beans, or mushrooms. Just keep the veggie pieces small for even cooking.

Q: Do I have to use foil in the air fryer?
A:Foil is optional but helps keep everything together and makes cleanup easier. Make sure to allow for airflow by not sealing the pack too tightly.

Q: Can I add potatoes or rice?
A: Potatoes may need a longer cook time. If using, parboil or microwave them for a few minutes before adding. Rice is best served on the side rather than inside the foil pack.
